Digital survival package
Based on the European DigComp framework and the Walloon FMTTN reference framework, our digital pack is divided into 8 modules that you can follow independently.
-
Module 1, How to use digital tools, covers the basic concepts of computing and attempts to make the concepts of the digital environment in which we live understandable. It also provides advice on how to use the computer.
-
Module 2, Information and Data, focuses on finding, evaluating and managing digital information. It provides useful information on how to use a search engine effectively, but also on the reliability of information and the rights of use associated with it. It also looks at how to store and retrieve data.
-
Module 3, Content creation, explains how to manage and manipulate digital files. In particular, you will learn how to compress a large file to be able to send it. It then looks at the creation of text documents and slideshows, with an emphasis on useful communication rules.
-
Module 4, Communication and collaboration, begins with how to interact digitally, especially with messaging and social networks, and then moves on to information sharing and online collaboration. Each topic is an opportunity to emphasise the rules of use and netiquette.
-
Module 5, Security, deals with the very important concepts of data protection and digital identity. Understanding how to protect your IT equipment, but also how to limit the traces we leave on the Internet. It concludes with a discussion of the ethical use of digital technology.
-
Module 6, Learning strategies, gives advice on how to optimise your organisation, planning, course follow-up and revision to ensure quality learning.
-
Module 7, Preparing for the labour market, gives students food for thought on how to define a career plan, look for a job, apply for a job and pass a job interview. It provides interesting information on the digital tools available for all these stages.
-
The portfolio is a tool that is increasingly used in both the educational and professional worlds. After explaining what a portfolio is, module 8, My digital portfolio, explains the advantages of creating such a document and how to go about it.
Thanks to these modules, you’ll have all the keys in hand for a better understanding of the digital environment in which we evolve, and you’ll be armed for the job market.
